I went out for lunch with a family friend and her daughter wanted to have some desserts. We ended going to Tazza Cafe and Patisserie to have some. The theme of the dessert time became A la Mode Overload because we ended getting 3 kinds a la modes.
First up is the warm brownie a la mode. It is basically a brownie heated in a microwave then topped with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream. To make it more appetizing, the a la mode is topped with chocolate syrup. Mixing hot and cold ingredients is a delight to the tongue. This is an enjoyable dessert that you can easily recreate at home.
We also the cookie a la mode. Same concept but instead of brownie they use a cookie. It is like deconstructed ice cream sandwich which is guaranteed to be a hit with kids and sweet tooth.
Lastly, we had the mango chocolate brownie a la mode. The mangoes give this dessert a sweet acidic touch that somehow accentuates the sweetness of brownie and the ice cream. It is quite yummy, but dieters should probably avoid this. This is an excellent dessert for the summer and for those who love sweet and ripe mangoes.
Only a few people can resist sweet desserts and it becomes harder to resist when ice cream is added to the equation. At Tazza Cafe and Patisserie, there are so many options for a la mode desserts.
